HOW IS DENTAL IMPLANTS PERFORMED ?

Dental implant procedure has usually two stages. At the first one, dentist uncovers the jawbone of a patient and drills a hole in it in order to place a titanium dental implant. After that the abutment is screwed into it, followed by temporary crown. Second stage takes place after some time (the exact period depends on the patient but it may take 3 to 6 months) and consists of removing the temporary crown and installing the permanent one on an abutment.
